This is a beautiful and remote rock clmibing area on the east side of Lake Taupo. It's on Maori land, they charge $5/day for climbing and $10/day includes camping. There is a nice lake side camping area though it has no amenities save for some very smelly toilets. It's only other down side is the terrible 7 km road that leads to the area (minimum 30 minutes travel time in a car)
